The goal of these projects is to allow students to gain hands-on experience with real business systems and data, while at the same time supporting our teams in improving planning processes through analytical and AI-driven approaches.
We are looking for students with a strong background in mathematics, statistics, and logical thinking.
Below is a brief explanation of the two projects:
1) Supply Planning Improvement Project
This project focuses on Supply Planning, which is the process of planning how and when products are produced and supplied, based on demand, capacity, and resource constraints.
The student will work in SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP), an advanced and complex planning system used to:
- Balance demand and supply
- Optimize production and capacity plans
- Improve service levels while controlling costs
- The objective of the project is for the student to first understand the current supply planning setup and then propose improvements using data analysis and AI-based logic.
2) Demand Planning Improvement Project
This project focuses on Demand Planning, which aims to forecast future customer demand as accurately as possible using historical data and predictive models.
Currently, demand planning is performed in Aptean, supported by a Machine Learning model. Although Aptean is not an SAP system, it is connected to SAP through system interfaces.
We have been using this solution for several years, and the goal of the project is to:
- Better understand the existing forecasting logic
- Analyze historical demand data
- Propose simplifications and accuracy improvements using AI and statistical methods
Project framework:
Duration: minimum 3 months
Start date: no later than 20 February
Working hours: flexible, to be agreed during interviews, in line with students’ academic obligations
Compensation: minimum EUR 500–600 per month (final details to be agreed during interviews)
The students will have the opportunity, during the ExCo visit, to present themselves as our student talents, explain the projects they are working on, and share their impressions and experiences of working in our company.
We would appreciate your support in recommending suitable candidates.
Kind regards.
