Subotica (Serbia), 17th May, 2019

Topic:

Strategic Management challenges for the 21st Century: globalization, transition, innovation, transformation

Since the beginning of this century, strategic management and strategies have been before challenges and opportunities related to transition of both state and sector level, as well as the level of organizations themselves. A completely changed and completer environment represents challenges for strategy researchers in terms of presenting concept and theories for theories for their research, as well as new methodologies based on multi-level research, with the aim of recognising multiple external and internal changes to which the organisation is exposed. Such an environment creates a permanently strong pressure on organizations to overcome the fast-changing economic, institutional and social conditions and develop such sustainable development strategies that would secure growth and long-term survival of organisations. When seeking adequate solutions, organisations are in constant need of innovation, whether product, services, business processes or business models. Their transformation is especially conditioned by digital technologies as well, i.e. their implementation in business. The transformation comprises various activities, and all of them affect a change in strategies of organisations and their strategic business models. Old rules of strategic management, adopted through globalisation, are hard to implement in their unchanged form. It is therefore of special significance for our conference to see a change of experiences of researchers and managers from practice related to problems of de-globalisation, transition, innovation and transformation.
