26th International Scientific Conference

Strategic Management and Decision Support Systems in Strategic Management
SM 2021

The 26th International Scientific Conference “Strategic Management and Decision Support Systems in Strategic Management (2021)“ aims to promote and develop high-quality research of all aspects of strategic managements, especially decision support in strategic management. The Conference is a forum for researchers and practitioners to interact, collaborate and develop the field of strategic management. The topic of this year’s Conference is “Challenges and possibilities for economies and businesses: Models and strategies for the new normal”.
The term “new normal” denotes a situation or condition that was previously atypical or non-standard, but has, due to changes in the environment, become standard, usual, and expected. By observing the era we live in, one can conclude that the unexpected and the atypical has become expected and usual. The global economic crisis, global recession, and the pandemic the world is currently facing had crated a new, changed environment, and the role of researchers in economics, management, and business informatics is to discover ways to overcome the challenges it brings and discover new opportunities for development. The COVID-19 pandemic was a shock to the global economy. Many business models were rendered inadequate, while several others underwent sudden, unplanned development. In both cases, adjusting to the new normal necessitates strategic changes. In the following period, we will indubitably witness the development of new strategies, as it is a fact that any crisis can create new opportunities and act as a catalyst for development.
